These terms explain who may use Afterdark and the rules that keep the service safe and enjoyable.

You must be at least 18 to access or use Afterdark. By entering the service or creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement and can legally agree to these terms.
Fictional companions
Every character is fictional. Character profiles, memories and emotions are creative parts of the experience.
Your account
Keep your login details private and provide an email address you control. You are responsible for activity through your account. Guest chats may depend on the browser cookie and device used to create them until they are connected to a registered account.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to facilitate illegal activity, exploitation, harassment, threats, non-consensual conduct, impersonation, or harm. Do not probe, disrupt, scrape, reverse engineer, or bypass service limits and security controls.
Chat content
Chat content can be inaccurate, inconsistent or unsuitable. Do not rely on it for medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or other professional decisions. You remain responsible for how you use information shared in a chat.
Availability and limits
We may apply message limits, change features, suspend accounts, or interrupt access to protect the service and its users. We aim to keep Afterdark available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or permanent retention of guest sessions.
